A radio controlled boat or rc boat is a boat that can be controlled and cruised remotely. The boat is equipped with a radio control system that helps to control the boat. The rc boats come is several models such as sports boats, scale boats, power boats, racing power boats, combats, and sailboats. A sailboat is a boat that uses the power of the wind acting on sails to propel the boat. Radio control sailboats are controlled by using a radio control system. Radio control sailboats are also known as radio controlled sailboats, or rc sailboats. Radio control sailboats are typically controlled through a multi-channel radio transmitter that corresponds and communicates signals to a receiver in the boat. The signals are forwarded by changing the position of the two joysticks on the transmitter. The signals are sent over two separate channels on a single radio frequency. The radio receiver on the boat is connected to two battery powered electric motors or servos. The signals from the transmitter are received and interpreted by the radio receiver and are translated into commands to change the position of the servos. One servo controls the position of both main and jib sails together and the other servo controls the position of the rudder that helps to steer the boat. Sailing radio control sailboats or rc sailboats is a very popular hobby. The radio control sailboats are typically powered by light weighed batteries. RC sailboats are also used in racing and these sailboats are termed as racing rc sailboats. RC sailboats are the most peaceful way to enjoy radio control boating, but these sailboats are the hardest to master. RC sailboats come in nitro and electric models, but sailing an rc sailboat mainly relies on wind and sailing skills. There are numerous ready to sail boats available, but building radio control sailboats is an interesting and fun job. You can build your own rc sailboat using rc sailboat kit, but you need to have a great knowledge about sailing and sailboats.
